Petty partisans……It’s Their Party………….

We all know them…..they are our friends, enemies, relatives……..sometimes a combination of all three…….
They are the Partisans that will never get it.
To them the John Birch Society [R]or the Michael Moore /Moveon. Commie [D] factions of their respective party’s speak the “only truth.”
They will never be able to laugh…and I mean really laugh, at anyone in their party and for this we should pity them. Can you think of anything better than laughing at one of George Bush’s misstatements and he laughs right along with you……and you really like the guy? Or Bill Clinton with his lip biting just before he delivered a clever zinger, I had to appreciate that……
I figured out a long time ago that if you follow the philosophy “It’s not who’s right, it’s what’s right”…… you could never really go wrong.
Partisans will never get that concept.

They totally miss out on so much fun and real patriotism. The kind that makes you feel good, not because you think you’re superior, but just because you are just so damn happy to be alive in America.
To try and explain to any of these people what is really happening in the political sphere, versus their talking points, is like trying to explain the color blue to a man that has been blind from birth.
Impossible……
They are the people that will argue endlessly about why it’s okay to cheat and why the end justifies the means.
But, you know, in the end, it isn’t, and it doesn’t.
They would vote for Pinochet if he had the right letter after his name…according to their stripe.
They are the people to be ignored…
But that just makes me even happier to be only just a little partisan, but more in reality just a real patriot. I love my Country and I feel good about it.
That’s why I don’t dislike Democrats, why would I? They are just people like me, with slightly [and sometimes greatly] different views. And we need both parties to flourish.
So, remember the next time you are tempted to call every Republican a right-wing-wacko [we prefer vast right wing conspiracy anyway] and every time one of you refers to the Democrats as being all super liberal with no common sense……remember that it is only a very small but usually over-vocal group of people on both sides of the aisle……… and the community…… that truly fits the description.

Killing Babies Good….Killing Convicted Murderers Bad……..

Seattle with its usual lack of taste and common sense is now hosting the Chocolate for Choice gala evening, in association with NARAL.
Tasteless doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Since this group and Planned Parenthood are both big businesses that are about as good at family planning as Microsoft is at security…..I find this incredibly repulsive.
Have you ever noticed that the far left is all for choice when it comes to killing an innocent baby because it’s more convenient than being responsible? But they are definitely against choice in such things as taxes, social security, political affiliation, union membership [it’s a must] and free speech…unless it’s theirs.
These are the same people that will stand outside San Quentin and hold a candlelight vigil when a man who tortured a woman to death is going to get his. Are you seeing the problem here yet? But they are all for women’s rights….right?
In this world full of effective birth control methods, more than ever before, why is abortion still such a national fixation? And why are we constantly hearing about babies being dumped in garbage bags or left to die in gas station restrooms?
If Planned Parenthood is a group we should all admire for their great works why have they not solved this problem yet? Too busy sticking their noses into the political stew to actually do what they promised they would all those years ago?
That’s a yes……..

They say that our world would stop spinning on it’s axis without abortion.
Do you know what would really happen without abortion? The same thing that happened before abortion was legal…and I’m not talking about a coat hanger in a dirty alley. Oh, brother….that one is so old and trite I can’t believe that even the old hags at Planned Parenthood are still using it. Have any of you ever actually known a woman who went through this, or got pregnant when she was raped? They are selling this with these scare and guilt tactics the way we were sold Tylenol instead of Aspirin because of Reye’s syndrome. Ever known anyone that had that happen to them either? No? Well, that’s probably because the incidence of it is one in one million people, if that, and they really still aren’t sure what causes it. But it worked for Tylenol sales.
That’s because it is a very effective marketing tool……….
The dirty little secret there is that Tylenol is not very nice to your liver…..there is no such thing as a free ride, anytime.

No, what would happen is exactly what happened before. Women would be very, very responsible about using birth control. It’s called personal responsibility and I’m a big fan of it.
I would think the pro-choice folks would be very concerned about the increased risk of serious diseases such as HIV because they are enabling the less responsible among the population to take risks with their very cavalier attitude. Pregnant? So what…… it’s not a real baby after all….and we can get rid of that little problem for you.
Well…if it isn’t a real baby and conception isn’t where life begins then why have an abortion? If it’s not a real baby then nothing will happen if you don’t do anything, right?
Oh….that nasty logic again.
Now if they could only abort the HIV virus from someone…wouldn’t that be peachy? I would be all for that………
And please, someone explain why partial birth abortion is a good thing…or ever even necessary? If the baby is already partially born, killing it with a pair of scissors does what to save the mother?
If we follow this line of crazy logic then why not let us kill them when they are really annoying….like when they are teenagers. Anyone, and I include myself in this, that has ever raised kids knows why insects eat their young. Sometimes……
And here’s the real dirty little secret that planned parenthood and NARAL don’t want you to know. Not only is abortion an incredibly inhumane way to die for a fetus…it’s not so great for the mother either. It decreases your chances of having a healthy pregnancy later and it increases your risk of many, many sleepless nights.
That’s reality………..
But go ahead Seattle….eat your chocolate and drink your champagne. I’m going to exercise my right to choice by choosing to not ever do any business in Seattle again.

Whirled Peas………..

Rebecca belongs to the group Students Against War.
And that, on the surface sounds like a really great idea….…who likes war? But this silly movement has been around for ever without ever getting anywhere…they have never stopped even one war. And even worse…they are selective in their opposition. No one marched in the streets carrying a sign that said Bill Clinton was a murderer when he took us into Kosovo, did they?
Even worse…they actually carried signs against Bush that said “No War …unless a Democrat is in the White House.”

Come on…try to be at least a little subtle here….really. It’s so hard to take anything you say seriously otherwise.
The anti war movement will never be successful because, unfortunately, it goes against human nature…..and it’s not actually a sincere movement about stopping war. It is all about people throwing political weight around. That’s all.
What is the first thing Rebecca and all her supposedly anti war friends did at the SCCC? They formed their own little army to surround, attack, and drive off the recruiters….and they are too young/naive to even realize what they did. They had a mini war against what they perceived to be intruders. Or in this case…it was someone else’s free speech……..
It’s a sad fact but true….basic human nature is more like an ant colony than anything else.
I was listening to her young and idealistic voice on the radio thinking it would be easier to take what she was saying seriously if I thought for even a moment that she was talking for herself. When you use a word like vehement and you don’t know how to pronounce it correctly….you are reading a script. Period……. it’s as simple as that.
Her handler should tighten up the strings on that little puppet a bit. Or better yet….let’s hope she does some serious growing up and stops letting herself be used by people with not-so-hidden agendas. I would much rather hear what she really has to say…..I’ll bet she has better ideas about how to make this country and this world a better place than the 60’s retreads that were pulling the strings and writing the talking points.
I guess Rebecca forgot that it was men like that recruiter that have given her the right to speak freely. Even the socialist hooey that she was parroting …that’s what the SAW is…a socialist organization.
She probably doesn’t even know that.
She should be really glad that she isn’t being ruled by Sharia Law…or she wouldn’t be talking at all…………..

Big Oil Bad….Big Mercedes Good
Seattle’s Jekyll/Hyde Personality Disorder………..

Every state has its unusual areas….where anything goes and the extremes of both political parties flourish. But when you allow these areas to manipulate or control an entire State, all common sense goes out the window. That’s why Californians smile knowingly when the subject of Berkeley comes up, as you would when speaking of an odd uncle. He’s part of the family…but no one ever asks him for advice.
And we all know the people that would ask him for advice and we avoid them….it’s a litmus test.
Think of it this way…..these areas are like a 13 year old. Full of ideas and very little common sense and since you wouldn’t allow a 13 year old to decide your family’s future….you shouldn’t allow the most liberal [which is code for irresponsible] cities to decide it either.
And that’s where we get to Washington State. This State…so full of promise and good people….. has allowed itself to be hijacked for way too long by the crazy uncle….Seattle

The closet elitists and champagne socialists that over populate Seattle make sure that they are the voice of Washington. They are the vegetarians that are driving a car with a leather interior. They are against slavery and yet wear diamonds and eat chocolate.
They are the people that only donate money when they are at a charity auction that hands you a glass of, what else, Champagne, when you walk in.
The word hypocrite comes to mind……………
Now the one thing that has always appalled me about Seattle is that it isn’t just the panhandlers that are rude, and I mean really rude, it’s also the locals. I chalked it up to the trough feeding entitled-to-everything mentality that seems to be the modern liberal stance.
So, as you can imagine, I was a little nervous when I was preparing to go back down to my home state of California …to Humboldt county no less, known for it’s very liberal attitudes, to help my oldest son move. Well, I didn’t really help him move, but that’s a story for later…………
After living in Washington for years now….as a hostage I might add……I just assumed that the nutty liberals would be the same [or worse] down there.
Wrong.
In Arcata even the bums were friendlier than the shopkeepers in Seattle….isn’t that sad? I had forgotten what it was like to have someone look you in the eye and smile warmly……and sometimes it was even the bums doing it.
And contrary to what you might have heard from other people the only thing wafting on the air was a hint of patchouli every now and then. Boy…that sure brought back memories. Both at the university and in the town square I watched people of every kind you could imagine…from blonde dreadlocks to young “hippies” in old VW buses….to old people…and everyone was friendly. They looked you in the eye and smiled. No shakedowns, no aggressive bums….and it was clean. Yes…it’s a very small town, especially when compared to Seattle. But they’ve been doing liberal, really liberal for years, and I guess they have it down to a fine science. I even saw a young hippy guy driving a car with a George Bush sticker on it. Yes … I did look at it closely suspecting that underneath it would say SUCKS….but it didn’t. And yes, I have also considered the fact that it might have belonged to his grandmother. I’m not that naïve.
Maybe Seattle is just having growing pains…but I doubt it.
Just like some feminists adopt the most obnoxious habits of the worst men to prove they are really feminists….Seattle-ites seem to think that they need to be rude and in your face to show you just how liberal they are. The liberal sheeple…they drive the same cars, drink the same drinks….and they haven’t had an original thought in years, if at all.
And my personal pet peeve is that horrid holiday song…”Driving in Seattle’s Latte Land”…….. if that doesn’t say it all I don’t know what does.
So I had this great thought. Since the powers that be in Seattle love to do studies about everything [without ever actually doing anything….think Monorail] maybe they should send a group of their most enlightened citizens down to Arcata to learn how to be really, really liberal and polite at the same time.
This I have to see…………..

Sad State Of Affairs……….

Well…what a sad state Washington is right now. As I traveled across Washington, Oregon, and into northern California one subject kept coming up. What in the world is wrong with the people in Washington State?
At least someone is having a good laugh out of this….too bad it’s at Washington’s expense. But maybe, just maybe it is so very deserved.
What do you say to people that just can’t understand how a State could be held hostage by one less than enlightened county? How do you even begin to explain how King County can control everything….and do nothing well at the same time?
And why the citizens seem to not care? I have explained over and over that the citizens do care very much….but their voices are drowned out by the ever whiney and always wrong loons in King County. But people always ask…what about all the felons that voted? How were Democratic Party workers allowed to go door to door and only check signatures on people that voted for Gregoire? Why were there more votes than voters in King County? What about the dead people that voted? This is a favorite for jokes, by the way. Too bad it’s not that funny anymore……..
I have now heard Washington compared to Chicago more times than I can count.
And as much as I hate to admit it…they are right.
People are following this closely and they are interested…and really, really glad that they don’t live in Washington. They don’t see it getting better anytime soon….and frankly, at this point, neither do I………
Unless everyone stands together and demands that this travesty of an election is overturned and it is done over, this will be Washington’s legacy for a very long time to come.
Is Christine Gregoire really worth that?

Left Behind…….

Contrary to what the very liberal Democrats would have you believe, President Bush did not win this last election because the majority of American people are too stupid for words.
He won because when it came down to who you could trust… it wasn’t Kerry and the liberal Democrats.
Various descriptions coming from the far left in this country, from the term Jesusland to a picture of the US where only the blue States are shown and the rest of the Country is portrayed as a cracker…and this last one coming from a company [yes, nasty corporate America that these people supposedly hate, right?] that is selling buttons, bumper stickers and tee shirts with the hate Bush theme. There are buttons with Bush with a swastika through it, and what I find even more interesting…especially on top of the swastika theme is that most of the cartoons from this particular company and others are mirroring the cartoons of Nazi Germany. George Bush with oversized nose and ears….being called a chimp.
The same Cartoons that the Nazis used to portray people that they didn’t like very much, the same people that they later killed by the millions.

That’s why I won’t put a link here…even though I think most people should see this for themselves……I am not going to help them get business.
I think it’s a classic bait and switch……..call Bush a Nazi while actually behaving like one yourself. Just check out all the hate Bush/Republican sites …and then you can decide for yourself………
I find it insulting and repellent because I’ve actually been to Dachau, and if I had my way every one of these people would have to go too…before they throw the Nazi word around again.
These same people don’t seem to remember that it was America that saved the world from Hitler. And if I had to guess I would say these would also be the same people that if we warped back in time to the late thirties and early forties would be against us being involved in World War 2.
These are also the same people that were so busy making excuses for President Clinton’s less than classy behavior that they forgot to mention that Osama Bin Laden was a growing threat. And then when Al Qaeda struck on 9/11 they were the same people that screamed that President Bush had dropped the ball….and it was his fault….somehow.
They also forgot that it was the Clinton administration that effectively neutered the CIA and the Military.
It’s as if you were to save a man who was on fire and then someone says “Yeah…but his shoes are untied
The media doesn’t dwell on the pictures of Afghani women who are now free to vote and walk around without a burqa blinding them, it doesn’t dwell on the pictures of American G.I.s. helping kids in Iraq, and it doesn’t bother to mention that millions of people are now free because of American conviction and blood.
And what does the far left have to say?
“ Yeah…....but their shoes are untied”……………

Political Stepford Wife………

I watch Nancy [more Botox please] Pelosi in horrified fascination. I keep waiting for her face to hang and freeze like an overloaded computer. This woman, who has entered the Michael Jackson phase of her life, is supposedly capable of making sound decisions for the rest of us? When she obviously can’t make sound decisions for herself. Does she not know when enough is enough? That’s a no folks…..

I’m sorry, and I know I shouldn’t but I am going to say it anyway….she is an idiot. Anyone that would listen to her for even a moment seriously needs help . And when she is only parroting talking points …don’t they realize we all stop listening?
Her eyebrows are migrating north while everything else is, obviously, migrating south.
So what you say?
Aging gracefully and with dignity is a sign of intelligence and maturity.
That’s so what.
So don’t expect me to listen to someone who is so in personal denial about the reality of her own life that she continues to think she is twenty and precious. I loathe precious people. We all know them…and they are usually royal pains that have one thing on their minds….themselves.
Personally I expect more from the people running our government.
I expect them to do more than run, like a twit, to the nearest microphone/reporter to tattle on what the Republicans are doing now to their country. As if it’s exclusively theirs.
It’s all of ours……….
I expect them to be less divisive and more thoughtful. And maybe …if it’s not too much to ask, maybe they should look at the big picture once in awhile, and give credit where credit is due. For instance, think of all the women in Afghanistan that just wanted to be able to feel the wind on their faces [and thanks to America they now can]…..and here is Nancy, trying to freeze hers. A little perspective…………..
I wonder if the scientist that created Botox was a Republican? Wouldn’t that be a bummer for Nancy?
And here’s the really sad part. Nancy isn’t the vacuous twit she appears to be at all…she just plays one in Washington………

Will The Real American Indians Please Stand Up?

I know everyone has discussed Ward Churchill lately, but I think a lot of the discussions have missed a very important point…….
Isn’t the very fact that Ward Churchill took a job at the University of Colorado at Boulder by portraying himself as an American Indian to get the job, when, by all accounts, he isn’t one……isn’t that really the ultimate racism?

It reminds me of the western movies that were being made in the forties when they used white guys to play Indians. Is this any different?
The mere fact that this man is not a Native American, but received sacred cow status because he claims to be, in spite of all the evidence that he is not now, nor has ever been an actual Indian…. is appalling, and the best argument around for no more racial preferences in the Universities.
American Indians were, and still are, probably the most under represented people in this Country in Government and University positions. When was the last time you heard someone in Olympia say they were concerned about the lack of a Native American presence in the legislature, as they do about every other race?
Did the University also allow all students who wanted to be accepted at the school to claim Native American status [ without being able to back it up, of course] so they would have a better chance of getting in? I’ll bet that’s a no………..
What? There weren’t any real Native Americans around that wanted to be a college professor? That’s what is most disturbing about this story…..Mr. Churchill took a well paying position that could have gone to a real Native American, but because of him, didn’t.
Ward seems to have a real identity crisis going on. In most of his “head shots” he makes sure that he has on big dark glasses and the photo is often black and white……..possibly to cover up the fact that he is pretty obviously a great big white guy.
Think “Mutiny on the Bounty” when you look at that very WASP-Y face………
Just my opinion, but if this guy got a nosebleed any native blood he claims to possess would be gone.
And then there is the photo on satyamag.com [be sure to click on www.akpress.org.......just so you get a good idea of how nutty people really are out there…be sure to think ‘groupthink’ ] in which he appears to be posing as a Cuban revolutionary working for Fidel. An AK-47, camouflage and a beret??? Is this guy for real?
Who will he be next? Che Gueverra? Yeah, Che is dead…but sometimes that doesn’t stop people. Think King County elections…….
And this is a Professor????
And then there is what he has to say. Hmmmmmm…….
As a big fan of free speech, I am torn…..
Yet in the end what it really comes down to is Ward hates just about everyone and everything American. Unfortunately for Ward….that includes himself…otherwise he wouldn’t be trying to be someone he’s not, would he? And the free speech argument will only carry you so far when you say the kinds of things Ward does……..
The really sad part of this story is that Ward Churchill is claiming to speak for the American Indian people……..and I think they are more than capable of speaking for themselves.

Update on Dr. Sosin………

Leave it to Washington State to make it as easy as possible for the faux military to vote [Commissioned Officers of the Public Health Service, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration]…….. and as difficult as possible for the real military.
Now let me state here right now that I do think the CDC and NOAA are very important federal organizations….but do I think they should get the same perks as the real military, which is code to me for “people who can actually get shot while on the job”?
Oh…that’s a big NO.
Not unless you are working in a moon suit with the Ebola virus.
But that’s just my opinion.
Dr.Daniel Sosin of the CDC is a classic example of someone who is not in a moon suit, but is using the perks anyway…..
King County has been as faithful as a dog when it comes to sending him his absentee ballot in Georgia since approximately 1992.
But, they had to be threatened by both the Secretary of State’s office and the DOJ to get the real military ballots out, and even then, as far as I can tell, only at the last minute did they do so.

So I had my very reliable [and very scientific] source call Captain David Bender who is the Adverse Actions Officer For The Commissioned Corp. When the situation was explained to Captain Bender, he stated, “It’s very common for ‘service’ personnel to choose residency in a State for tax, or other, purposes.”
Although when I looked at the law he quoted, SCRA [H.R. 100] there was nothing in it specifically about voting……. that I could find.
To his credit Captain David Bender was very helpful in looking into the issue of Dr.Sosin voting here in Washington State.
He talked to Dr.Sosin, who made a couple of interesting statements to Captain Bender. The first of which was that “He would look into it.”, and the second, and by far more difficult to believe …. “He had no idea that this was on the web”.
Oh really? Since Stefan Sharkansky of Soundpolitics contacted him on or around the 29th of January ……. When Stefan contacted Dr. Sosin and asked if there was a good reason why he was voting in Washington State he replied "Yes there is. But I'm not going to get into it." and he hung up.
Well, I guess just about anyone can assume why he didn’t want to get into it. He’s using a technicality to avoid paying State income taxes in Georgia. That’s the most logical explanation for why he is still listing Washington State as his state of residence. According to Captain Bender again, this is “Not uncommon”, but, and here’s the rub……. in order to pass “the smell test,” Dr.Sosin would also have to have his driver’s license, car registration, and any other State issued licenses in Washington also. I wonder if he has those here, they would probably be much more difficult to get than an absentee ballot.
After all, the dead got their absentee ballots.
And then there’s this…….according to Captain Bender, it’s up to the individual State to allow or disallow the voting.
And according to our state [and county] employees it’s not their job to clean up the voter roles.
So, there you have it. A bureaucrat’s dream…….....a citizen’s nightmare.
How many more of these electoral parasites do we have in this state?
They are voting here to avoid paying State income tax in their actual State of residence, at our expense. Dr.Sosin cancelled out a legitimate vote cast by someone who actually lives here………..on one side or another.
So, this is a loophole that needs to be closed both at the State and Federal level.
In the end, if this was all above board on Dr.Sosin’s part, I’m sure he would have been more than happy to explain it to Stefan Sharkansky. And he wouldn’t have been less than honest with Captain Bender. It’s just common sense. And to head you off at the pass, State Democrats….this does not mean that you should enact a State income tax to stop these people from voting here…..it just means you should purge the voting roles.
Of course, if you want people that have never actually been residents here to vote here because of technicalities…by all means keep up the good work.

Washington….Permanent State of Confusion………

Alas…it appears that this will be the new motto for Washington. Do you think it will fit on the license plate?
You can forget "The Evergreen State"…other states have trees too.
After reading the newspapers…a huge waste of time I might add….and reading all the election laws and reading everyone’s opinions [out there] I have come to the conclusion that no one in this State knows what the hell they are talking about.
Too blunt? Too bad…….
Why bother to vote at all if there are no guidelines and no one to enforce them? Why not just save a lot of money and just cut to the chase and let the idiots in King County decide for us the way they have been all along….only right up front. No more of this wiggling around and pretending to have an election. It’s silly…and it’s a waste of our time and money.

A classic example of how twisted things really have become is the case of Dr. Sosin who works for the CDC in Georgia yet votes here. Sure, there could be a legitimate reason for this….but I doubt it.
Could it be that Georgia is a red state and that makes Dr. Sosin feel a little blue? Who knows…and frankly at this point I don’t care. What I do know is that he is a federal employee at the CDC and is canceling out one of the legitimate citizens of Washington State’s votes with his….on your tax dollars. Seeing the problem yet?
Dr. Sosin isn’t some hapless schmo…Dr. Daniel M. Sosin is the Director of the Division of Public Health Surveillance and Informatics in the Epidemiology Program Office (EPO), at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. And contrary to what one [vapid] reader said in the comments on Soundpolitics about this…he is not out there on the front lines saving our lives from terrorists. And even if he were, would that legitimize his apparent violation of our laws? If so, maybe you just have much lower standards than I do.
Have any of you read the code of ethics for government service that Dr. Sosin has to follow ? Do you realize that Dr. Sosin has been, in all likelihood, voting for taxes ,levies and school bonds that he is not here to help pay for????
And then there is the forever classic statement that your state of residence is “just a state of mind”……are these people for real?
What is this…… ZEN 101?
Good grief….…have we all forgotten how to apply any common sense to anything? Or to anything our elected officials do???
And it begs the question….if we didn’t have the out of control absentee ballot system here in Washington, would Dr. Sosin and others like him be voting here illegally?
That’s probably a no.
And though it may seem unfair to judge an entire State by what two really dumb places like Olympia and Seattle are doing…that’s exactly what is happening whether you like it or not in people’s minds, all across the country. And every resident that does not stand up for what is right is complicit in that. We are now known as Florida west. It can, and will, get worse.
And this attitude that this whole election mess is just too complicated to fix is the height of idiocy. We have to fix it….and not the next time around either…..but now.
For whatever reason….there were 55,000 ballots altered by elections workers at a time when Dean Logan and others were busy telling the public that the elections department was swamped with just sorting and counting the ballots….yet they took time to, basically, vote 55,000 times?
They found new ballots time and time again. And, in the end there were more votes than voters in King County.
So, what’s so tough to understand?
Nothing………
What it comes down to is incompetence and perhaps fraud.
If this election, this complete travesty of an election, doesn’t rise to the level of one that needs to be thrown out…then none ever will….and we need to just strike the laws from the books once and for all.
Because if it is allowed to stand, the precedence it will set for future elections is chilling.
Absolutely chilling…………

Accuracy, Anyone???

Yesterday there seemed to be a collective HUH? heard round the state.
The rulings coming out of Judge Bridges courtroom seemed to be very positive for the voters of this state initially. I won’t say Republicans because this isn’t a partisan issue at all…no matter how some newspapers [you know who you are] want to spin it. This is a case of voter’s rights….and the sanctity of our Democracy that is based almost solely on honest and clean elections.
But then just before the court adjourned for the day Judge Bridges seemed to rule against a revote. Or did he?

Until the transcripts come out we are all just left to guess.
Even the lawyers amongst us are mulling this one over quietly.
So I have a couple of observations here.
The MSM has been very busy spinning this story from the beginning. Accuracy has not been a priority for them as shown yet again today in this Seattle Times piece. You can decide for yourself who was misleading who….but it’s not good either way.
In the Seattle Times Jenny Durkin, attorney for the Democratic Party, stated ….
“No revote is possible," Durkan said, "www.revote.org is out of business."
Okay, there are several problems with that statement. The first of which is www.revote.org was never in business. And the average person will probably go to that site and think; wow…they really are out of business!
So it’s misleading to say the least.
If you are going to rip on a group that way, maybe you should get it right. It’s www.revotewa.com .......a small thing you say?
Maybe……. .
But accuracy is not a small thing for a newspaper……….. the devil is in the details.
So, either the ever-morphing Seattle Times or Ms. Durkin got it wrong. Was it deliberate? Well, at this point you really do have to wonder. How many other things are they getting wrong? Is this just another oops in Seattle?
Like the voting irregularities?
So when it comes to what Judge Bridges actually said, I think I will wait and read his words for myself………in the court transcript.

That Nasty Free Speech Strikes Again………

Today Chris Gregoire, in another classic two faced move, has complained that talk radio [insert KVI here] has whipped people into a state that she finds “concerning”. Implying, I suppose, that somehow people talking about the beyond-flawed Governor’s race is somehow threatening her own safety.
She must love that statue of Lenin in King County.
But then at the same time Christine’s own people are being called and told to call into the stations whenever the subject of the Governor’s race is discussed.
So….. are our tax dollars paying people to listen to the radio and tattle? Heads up Kirsten Brost…..your people are encouraging your people to tattle on others. Tsk tsk tsk…….

On a side note, right after Dino Rossi was counted the winner for the second time and Gregoire was pulling some of her less than above board shenanigans……I called the AG’s office to talk to someone about the conflict of interest issue that was quickly arising. I was immediately transferred, not to an attorney in the office, but to Chris Gregoire’s transition team. Transition team???? What did she know that we didn’t? And the bigger question is why the AG’s office was doing her personal work. Because that’s what that was. It’s called the Attorney General’s office for a reason….not Gregoire campaign headquarters. But then Ms. Gregoire often seems to find herself in the position of thinking that she doesn’t have to follow the same rules that everyone else does.
How can we ever forget the fiasco in the AG’s office where she blamed an employee for something she herself had done?
So now Ms. Gregoire, who doesn’t exactly hold the moral high ground here, is telling all of “us” that we shouldn’t be using the most valuable right we all equally possess…..that of free speech.
That’s rich, Christine, really…………
Ms. Gregoire, at least when we listen to talk radio, no one has to call us and tell us to do it…….

Kirsten Brost….You Are Absolutely Right!

Washington State does deserve better.
That’s why a majority of us voted for Dino Rossi, and why a majority of us also support a revote.
Call us all the names you want[ see Kirsten Brost’s letter], but can I make a few suggestions? How about instead of Rossi’s gang, you call us what, and who, we are……..
We are Republicans and Democrats, and Independents, both men and women, old and young and in between. We are not thugs, we are not a gang…we are people with values.
We are the honest, legal voters of Washington State. We are the people that were cheated out of a legitimate Governor by fraud. Oh sure, everyone shies away from the word fraud. Well, what do you call it when dead people vote and the signatures match?
And Kirsten, here’s a tip for you……..legal aliens can’t vote...legally.
Maybe this is part of the problem? If you don’t know the rules you can’t really follow them accurately, can you?
On Friday when the court case continues we will begin to find out what kind of state we will be living in, a state where the rule of law matters or a state where, if you can get away with it, you win. I hope sincerely it’s the former.
As John Steinbeck said in “East of Eden”…………”There were, and are, some men who become judges whose love for the law and for it’s attention of promoting justice has the quality of love for a woman.” I don’t know Judge Bridges, but I have heard rumors that he is that kind of judge…….one who truly loves the law. Let’s hope the rumors are true.
And Kirsten……take a pill and start reading, you have some catching up to do…….. ‘
Just in case they decide to remove the letter you can read it here....

Voters Beware: Spying On Neighbors, Criminal Background Checks, Investigating Immigrants All Part Of Rossi’s Win-At-Any-Cost Strategy

SEATTLE – To just what ends is Dino Rossi willing to go to be governor of the State of Washington?

In an attempt to litigate himself into the governor’s mansion, Rossi is suing everyone involved in this election. He has sued every single county, every county auditor, the Secretary of State, the Lieutenant Governor, and the Speaker of the House- 81 parties in all.

But that’s not all.

Rossi’s team is running criminal background checks on everyone who voted in this election. They have now accused hundreds of voters of committing a felony by voting illegally, even though independent investigations show their numbers to be outrageously inflated. (Can’t you be sued for libel for accusing people of a crime they didn’t commit?) (Seattle Times, 1/23/05; Tacoma News Tribune, 1/8/05, The Sun, 1/27/05)

Rossi’s gang has asked people to spy on their neighbors, visit their website, look at the list of who has voted and tell ‘em who you think voted illegally. Haven’t we seen tactics like this somewhere before? (www.soundpolitics.com)

Now, they are asking the government for a list of legal aliens, so they can go after immigrants - a community already hesitant to participate in our voting process. (Mike Siegel Show, 2/1/05)

Rossi’s problem, of course, is that the election contest statute clearly says the GOP must prove that the illegal votes cost Dino Rossi the election. But most news stories would indicate Dino Rossi got the bulk of votes from felons and dead people – Chris Gregoire was, after all, the state’s chief law enforcement officer for 12 years which hurt her popularity among felons. (RCW 29A.68.110, Seattle Times, 1/23/05; Tacoma News Tribune, 1/8/05, The Sun, 1/27/05)

Rossi should have won the old fashioned way, by getting more votes.

When he was ahead he said he trusted voters not lawyers, but he’s filed four lawsuits. First, he went to court repeatedly to have votes thrown away. Since that failed he is trying to sue his way into office, calling on Washington residents to turn in their neighbors, and engaging in blatant voter intimidation.

Washington State deserves better.

Liberal Democrats are their own worst enemies…..

While sitting in the gallery watching the legislature vote on Gregoire’s certification, I was privy to a classic example of why the liberal Democrats are their own worst enemies. When Tim Sheldon-D , Mason County ,stood up to cast the lone dissenting vote on the “D” side of the aisle, his fellow Democrats began to snicker, and then chuckle and then just laugh. Sitting next to me was a young man, maybe 15 or so. He turned to me and whispered the question “How can they do that? Isn’t that just rude?”
I nodded and said yes it was. But it made me think. When did it become okay for our overpaid and under worked legislators to behave like grade-schoolers? When did common decency and manners go out the window?
I’m not sure.
But if I had to guess I would say that their behavior that day will stick in that young man’s mind. And when it comes time to register to vote it will probably take more than liberal teachers to sway him from registering as a Republican, or an Independent. I think the Democratic Party will be far down the list……if on it at all.
Being the ruling party for too long in one place obviously makes you too cocky. And you forget that you work for the people, not the other way around.
Now I’m not going to slam the Democrats in general, because I firmly believe that it is a small but very vocal and controlling group within the party that is running the show right now…….

And I firmly believe that the majority of Democrats are decent, smart, good intentioned people……just like everyone else. The ones I know are, anyway. I just have a different take on things than they do….but isn’t that what makes this country great? We can agree to disagree without bloodshed.

The super liberals are a different kettle of fish………….
