The Law Of Unintended Consequences In Action…………
Sadly, if we didn’t have legalized abortion and assisted suicide legislation on the books and in the legislative works……….. we would not even be having this discussion about Terri Schiavo…….
To quote Rob Norton……….
“The law of unintended consequences, often cited but rarely defined, is that actions of people—and especially of government—always have effects that are unanticipated or "unintended." Economists and other social scientists have heeded its power for centuries; for just as long, politicians and popular opinion have largely ignored it.”
If the sad case of Terri Schiavo doesn’t make this point I don’t know what does. And all because they are afraid that if Terri is protected it would interfere with their agendas to promote abortion and assisted suicide. When you allow your agenda to interfere with your humanity…..then you are no longer human.
We have the ACLU on the husband’s side against his wife. All the women’s groups in the U.S. are silent except to say they want Terri to be allowed to die. Starving someone to death is not allowing them to die….it’s murder. Period.
When Oregon put forth its death with dignity/assisted suicide bill I thought it was a good idea. I have seen people suffer when there was no hope for their recovery, yet there wasn’t even the relief that we can give to our pets, available to them.
And there was a very interesting study done that showed that when people knew they could get relief from their pain as soon as they needed it, they could tolerate a lot more pain.
In other words, hope, can give quite a lot of relief on its own.
But as this whole situation shows, when politicians and nutty left wing groups think any of their pet projects might be impacted negatively it makes for a rather nasty stew of unintended consequences.
And here it is in action. All you have to do is listen to any of the far left nuts to know that Terri Schiavo’s very survival is seen as a threat to their pet projects……….. abortion-on-demand and assisted suicide, because as one less than bright individual put it [you know who you are] if the government steps in here then they could say the same thing about abortions. The next thing you know they would be calling a fetus a baby.
Oh no! Not that. Not the truth.
So after watching all the same groups refuse to defend Terri because it might set a precedent against their pet projects, I for one, will never back any of these projects again.
Terri is not a ‘precedent’ waiting to be set. Terri is a human being……with feelings and a family that loves her.
And Terri is still very much alive….but not for long.
And meanwhile, we have U.S. District Judge James Whittemore that sat down to dinner last night….I wonder what he ate?
Terri hasn’t had the luxury since Friday morning……….

Useful? Then Digg It.

Bob.....and all on the hearsay of a possibly abusive husband. That's what her friends and family say...is this hearsay any less valid than his? The real slippery slope here is setting the precedent of using someone's hearsay to take someone's life.
An innocent woman in this country has less rights than a convicted murderer.
If that isn't a chilling precedent to set...I don't know what is.

Assisted suicide, even though I am against it is done with the consent and knowledge of the victim; in Terri’s case she has not given consent. The courts have ruled that the hearsay evidence of her husband and so called friends have said that she has given the consent but is hearsay evidence valid in a murder case?
Abortions are now done as a form of contraception , so the argument of abortions in the case of health of the mother or rape is not always the case and here again the victim is not able to speak in their own be half.
My point is that we have started down a slippery slope allowing legalized death whether it is abortion or allowing the courts to make that decision as in the case of Terri Schiavo.

where is the Americans with Disabilities Group, Womens Sufferage crowd. And what about the bone scan that did not appear until 2002, the absence of the MRI, the nurses affidavit that she & other nurses fed Terri jello and pudding until they were ordered to stop by the loving husband. The other fact that 40% of PVS diagnosis' are found to be wrong, 40%.

Here is something else for people to think about. People can, and do, WILL themselves to die. Yet here is Terri ALIVE inspite of her husband's attempts to make it difficult. He wouldn't let her have antibiotics for instance when she had infections. But she fought off the infections and lived. If she really wanted to die...I think she already would have...especially with the lousy lack of care that her "loving" husband made sure she had.
How in the world can this be alright in this country? How can a woman be denied all her rights on the hearsay of a man that has alot to gain with her death.........
SO WHERE IS "N.O.W." ...NOW?

interesting medical info about Terri's condition. It seems Dr Cranfords diagnosis was for a mere 45 minutes. Last CT Scan was in 1996. See if you can find the transcript from Hannity & Colmes tonight, DR Cranford was on and Hannity embarrassed the hell out of him. Star witness Cranford seems very incompetent.
