King County Strikes Yet Again….…. Part Two

Just when you thought King County couldn’t get any smarmier….they do.
As was the case of the ME’s office selling brains.
Here is a classic email I received from a reader in which Carolyn Edmonds explains that the KIRO T.V. Story was wrong…………
Oh really? KIRO seems to disagree.......
So not only did King County steal brains without the family’s permission, now they are calling the family members liars too……..

Thank you for contacting me and providing an opportunity to correct an
erroneous KIRO report. King County did not, and does not, sell brains.

For ten years and ending in 2004, the King County Medical Examiner's Office
(KCMEO) had a research contract with the Stanley Medical Research Institute
to support research on the causes of serious mental illness. The contract
called for the KCMEO to provide post mortem brain tissue and pertinent
medical information about the deceased person to the Stanley Laboratory at
the Uniformed Services University for the Health Sciences in Bethesda,
Maryland, the elite federal medical school and health sciences university
for the Armed Services. The contract also specified that the KCMEO would be
reimbursed an annual fee for the salary of a pathologist and technical
support to ensure that King County had staffing to do the work.

As part of the grant, the Medical Examiner's Office (MEO) sent brain tissue
for research purposes to the University after having received consent from
the next of kin. The MEO took great effort and care to ensure that families
understood the nature of the research and that their participation in this
activity was completely voluntary.

The MEO's office has complete documentation in 179 out of 180 cases. In one
case the MEO's office has incomplete records but the file indicates consent
was given. Consent included the initial conversation with the next of kin
plus a written description of the research mailed to the next of kin and a
follow up phone call.

There was no financial incentive to acquire tissue samples, in other words
there was no quota and no profit. All funds paid for the salary of a
full-time pathologist and other costs to provide the capacity within the
medical examiner's office to take the samples when needed.

I appreciate the opportunity to fully explain the situation.

Frankly, I believe Gary “Cool Gary” Lynn’s father, Bill, much more than I do King County who just keeps heaping blight upon plight here. And according to Bill, Gary’s father, he never gave them permission.
So who is telling the truth?
Well…I’ll let you decide. But in light of King County’s recent record of being a veritable factory for pathological liars [see Dean Logan here] I know who I don’t believe.
I guess we now know why King County is so concerned with housing the homeless….why, if one were to let their imagination run a bit you could just look at it as one stop shopping for King County Elections and the ME’s office, couldn’t you?
At this point I wouldn’t put anything past them………..

We were there Friday when Tacoma attorney Steve Bulzomi officially notified the county that it is liable for what he calls a "ghoulish" mistake.

wow, as if the election contest against king county is not bad enough, King Ron Sims now has this law suit.

We know what contributors name to look for in her campaign this year. No doubt they gave her money to keep this quiet and now sweep under the rug. It sure seems King County officials have a habit of dismissing these horrific things. Notice Edmonds language, "took great effort and CARE" does it remind you of Julia Patterson "language of conflict?" All in the manipulating language.

According to the e-mail, Edmonds is the "chairperson" of the committee that oversees the medical examiners office.

And guess who has to run for re-election this year...........

It's interesting isn't it that here we have the same people that throw around words like 'Hitler' and 'fascist' every five seconds and they are the ones that are actually acting like Hitler themselves......
I wonder what else they are up to?????

OMG, The Culture of Death Camps!

this is frightening. Do the Dems think this research will ultimately benefit THEM in the long run? You know, like people confused about life take psych classes?
