Once again Canada through its own vast stupidity has become the focus of international eyes.
But that’s not really new is it?
That question was rhetorical…completely…..just a heads up for you Canadian readers. EH??? And yes, I am mocking you.
I have to state up front that there isn’t anything that impresses me positively about Canada. I don’t know if my mother was once scared by a Canadian when she was pregnant with me [that's actually hard to imagine....my mother ?] and that marked me for life …or if I have just been paying very close attention to our…ahem…"neighbors" to the north.
I’m betting that it’s just that I have been paying very close attention. And then there is that whole familiarity breeds contempt thing too………
They are a country of bi-polar idiots.
They hate us because we have guns but then they beat baby seals to death with picks.
They hate us ,because according to them [HA!] ,we are destroying the environment but then they beat so many baby seals to death that they are putting the population of harp seals in danger of extinction.
Their claim that they have to beat the baby seals to death because it’s how many of their population [of idiots…don’t forget that] supports themselves…..is a complete lie. It really is..... each "sealer" makes about a thousand dollars a year doing this, and even in dumb-ville Canada that isn't a living.
How would you feel if I told you that Canada not only subsidizes the “hunt” but they also spend tax dollars trying to sell the pelts…of the baby seals they beat to death?
Well…they do.
And they are losing money doing it…………
Well, well, well…so the country best known for its cowards, maple syrup and incredibly stupid social engineering experiments is really not at all what they keep telling the rest of the world they are? What a surprise.
Here is a short list of complete lies that Canada has fed the rest of the world:
They are pacifists. Actually they aren’t…they are cowards. Terrorists shoot back…baby seals can’t. Pacifists also don’t attack observers to the slaughter......but Canadians do. Unarmed women in boats and baby seals...look out world here come the [snide filter OFF] brave Canadians.
They want us to think they are pro-environment……once again, not even remotely true. When you beat close to 400,000 baby seals to death and put the harp seal population in danger of extinction…you are a lot of things but one of them isn’t an environmentalist. They also tried to use this line as their excuse for almost completely wiping out the wolf population way back in the first part of the last century because, according to them, that's why the caribou herds were dwindling ....it was the wolves doing it.
Those wolves were so damn helpful and polite that they skinned the carcasses and then piled them right next to Canadian hunter’s cabins. What are the odds of that actually happening? [ I'll give you a hint....ZIP]
It took a Canadian author and researcher, Farley Mowat [read “Never cry wolf”...excellent book ] to expose that lie. But here it is again haunting the harp seals….and the rest of us….the same old trite, but we had to excuse. They used that excuse to almost completely wipe out the population of wolves ....not very different from their bi-polar story now is it? First "it's the only way our [really stupid] people can support themselves and when that doesn't fly they say "well we are trying to keep the fish from being wiped out".
Might I suggest that they not over fish like they have been for the last several decades?
This isn't rocket science....thank God, or the Canadians would be really screwed.
I want you to really look at the pictures and remember that many of those baby seals were alive when they were being skinned. And that there is absolutely no good reason for doing it. And that Canada likes to represent itself as the world’s thought police conscience.
But, now I know why they couldn’t be bothered to help us wipe out terrorism…they were too busy snuffing out two month old seal pups…because as everyone knows they are really, really scary.
If you are Canadian, that is.
It's time we took Canada to task for all it's BS.
So, let's start helping the seals by demanding that Canada stop this incredibly inhumane and insane slaughter.
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM CANADA. .....not until they start acting like human beings should.
I'm guessing that ,sadly, that won't happen in any of our lifetimes if the Canadians hold true to form.

I find it amusing when single-issue activists berate and entire nation for the actions of less than a percent of a percent of it's population. Even more-so is it amusing when the same hecklers hail from a country who's own policies in the world stage cause more strife, death, suffering, and economic chaos than the country which is their focus. Yes. SOME of our countrymen beat seals to death. Yes. SOME of our population inflicts unimaginable hurt on it's own species. Yes. We are human and have human failings. But coming from a self-involved, outwardly hostile, bullyish, scandalous, insensitive nation, these comments are laughable. I have no part in this butchery, nor do I associate with those who do. I am vehemently opposed to the very notion of the treatment these animals receive. But since I live here I am a target for inane insults and childish mockery? When your country stops sending their armies out to "enlighten" the world...(see: Crusades) talk to me about inhumane treatment of animals. Until then how about working WITH those of us here who oppose this senseless slaughter, instead of blanketing an entire nation as monsters. "Let he is without sin cast the first stone." Religious or not, that is a good line. Take it to heart and ponder it before you speak up on an issue like this. There is nothing wrong with ideas and free-speech. But when that freedom trods upon that of another being...you hopefully get my point. This will no doubt generate a triade of wonderful flames and attacks. I expect nothing less. In fact they will prove much of what I am saying here.

It's kind of sad that there are people out there capable of judging an entire nation of people for something that such a small fraction of the people do. Perhaps you should do a little research on this topic before you write these things. As your little bit there doesn't have any actual evidence backing it up. Oh I'm not saying that it doesn't happen. It does. However the facts that you are stating here are dated, and some are untrue. In fact I believe that you have skewed the facts in order to either get a rise out of any Canadian readers (which I will admit it did) or you simply really do find Canadians repulsive, weak, cowards. I'll also state for the record, I dont hate Americans or judge your nation based on sterio types. (you said Canadians do that sort of thing) I know some real great American people in fact! Anyway!...

I don't know if the guy above me is trolling or just retarded.
1. It isn't Canada that is clubbing the seals. It's the Canadian natives, I would say well over 50% of the population is against the practice. Also, the alleged $1000 they make per year doing this is enough for some of them as they usually live in the arctic and in igloos or in similar conditions using the money for the few tools they cannot create on their own.
2. "They hate us because we have guns" The percent of people in the U.S. with firearms is exponentially higher than the number of people that club seals.
3. "They hate us because we're destroying the environment" >50% of Canada's pollution comes from the U.S. so yes, you are. Killing wildlife technically doesn't constitute destroying the environment. Yes it is unfortunate how they go about it and that they are killing endangered or protected species but animals are killed all of the time and plenty of other endangered animals are poached by other countries too.
4. Please point out how we're cowards. Canada hasn't backed out of wars it has agreed to enter like many other countries, or given up like the U.S. has trying to "make peace" or force their beliefs upon other countries. If you want cowards look at Italy in the world wars.
5. Help you wipe out terrorism, firstly it's impossible. Secondly, prove that they're terrorists. If any country invaded another one especially one that is not as developed as the U.S. they would likely fight back. You can call people terrorists because you invade their country and the decide to shoot at you. But until your reasoning for going there is justified or proved, and those people shooting back are proven to be terrorists; I don't think that point is valid.
6. Boycott Canada. Canada is the U.S.'s biggest trading partner. Unlike the U.S. Canada, if it needed, is self-sufficient and could provide everything necessary for its people to survive on its own. Also, the American population is 10x greater and the GDP is also 11x greater yet your dollar is only a few single digit cents above ours. It wouldn't be wise for us to increase the value of our dollar as it would affect trade with all of our main partners, but we are not 100% reliant on the U.S. The U.S. has such a great debt that it will never pay it off, and I literally mean never. Canada however is only billions in debt at the moment and therefore can stand to face hard economic times if some dumbasses decide to boycott one of their biggest partners for all main industries because they club seals while that country ignorantly overlooks all of its wrong doing in EVERY aspect of life.
Also, lol@ start acting like human beings.
The U.S. has no problem releasing biochemical agents and diseases into its own subways and over entire towns. It also has no problem with killing its own people to see what happens or giving their pride and joy; the military, toxic chemicals while in combat so when they return they are sterile or produce children with disabilities.
The U.S., unlike Canada, also breaks more human rights agreements. The CIA will torture people for years even if they know they have no real reason to hold them. It's also not like they're just physically torturing them, which would be considered wrong in the first place but some people eventually become resistant. But they also torture them psychologically with loud incessant music that causes more disorders and variations of depression than most people know exist.
Yes a very small minority of Canadians do club seals, and it's an unfortunate thing. But the wrong doings performed by Americans that are not only locally but internationally wrong are far greater in number and not solely because they have a population ~ 10x greater.

Hello all, first things first, I am a Canadian.
Second for is, my country absolutely revolts me on our standings on animal cruelty, and the preservation of animals. The seal hunt is one of the very few things that we do wrong up here for animals, and there are a lot more. We have african lion safari, a large fur district, Sea world, Whale hunts, pets can be put down with no reason other than "I don't want it" and the list goes on. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Send this link around. More people need to know how barbaric this whole shit is! it needs to stop.
