The Enemy In Our Midst…………

Those of us with children know how hard it is in today’s world to raise smart, kind, well balanced kids with a good moral compass. We also know that it’s getting more difficult everyday….thanks in large part to Hollywood celebrities who for the most part can barely read. Oh, spoon feed them something [think moveon.commie here] and they’ve got it alright…but expect them to think?
That’s just not going to happen.
Personally, I don’t want to be lectured to by the likes of Angelina Jolie or any of the other over paid, under worked celebrities that can’t seem to manage to do the normal things the rest of us can….like, say, stay married [to their own husband] for more than five minutes. That she is a spokeswoman for the UN just cinches what I already knew. The UN is an organization whose time has come and gone.
But there are other much more insidious groups that are on a mission to undo everything we have taught our children because they just know better.
They are called professors.
If you haven’t experienced this already with your children …be prepared. You will soon be forking out a lot of money to have someone, who, if ,and when he is even teaching his classes, and not just handing them over to a graduate student because, hey, he has tenure baby, will be working diligently to not only undo everything you have instilled in your pride and joy but will also be teaching them everything except what is in the title of the class.
Unless, of course the class subject title is sedition…………

Today’s universities have become nothing more than a giant coffee klatch for liberal know-it-alls with an agenda.
A big agenda.
The agenda? Train all your students to become useful idiots… and you haven’t succeeded in this until they hate George Bush, feel ashamed to be Americans, and think anything that comes from another country is better than what we produce here.
That includes thought.
They are the ultimate outsourcers…forget the big corporations.
The latest sign of this came in my morning paper, the Times-Standard.
On the front page is a story with the title of “HSU panel looks at Iraq war”.
Now, I am a big fan of free speech, but lately I am a lot more interested in what citizens of this great country have to say rather than outsiders. Call me isolationist……I like to think of it as being more of a realist. After all folks, we are at war right now
Can you imagine what the response would have been, after Pearl Harbor, if suddenly we were expected to be lectured to by a Japanese nationalist?. Haven't thought about it that way have you?
Here is a classic little tidbit from the story:

ARCATA -- Yesterday, said Saeed Mortazavi, Iranians celebrated their biggest holiday, the Iranian new year. In the near future, he said, he fears his native country will be under attack.
Mortazavi, a professor of business at Humboldt State University, talked about his fears of a U.S. attack on Iran during a panel discussion on American foreign policy and the Middle East. At least 100 people attended the panel discussion Tuesday night in HSU's Founders Hall. The discussion, which also included Melanie Williams of the government and politics department and William Herbrechtsmeier of the religious studies department, was wide-ranging.
Mortazavi said the Bush administration is trying to demonstrate that Iran has nuclear capabilities so it can attack, but that such capabilities don't really exist.
Herbrechtsmeier said the world opinion of the United States is getting more negative. Worst of all, he said, is “the legacy of torture that is now going to haunt America, probably for decades to come.”

First of all…I think Saddam Hussein has the market cornered on torture, second only to North Korea and Iran. Talk about rhetoric……..and legacy? Oh please…I call bullshit on you professor….what legacy? You want a legacy of torture look no further than your friend and co-professor's native country, Iran. His country of birth.
And secondly, and perhaps more curious…..this “business” professor knows that Iran has no nuclear capabilities how?
Maybe the same way he knows what the entire world is thinking. Not just their newspapers or the people who are paid to write opinions….but the entire world. You know what they say about people using the royal we don’t you?
Makes you wonder doesn’t it?
How about these "thinkers"……..
It’s like a bad joke…a business professor [originally from a hostile country] gets together with a religious studies professor who is a liberal self-loathing American twit [you can bet they aren’t studying Christianity…that would just be too American to be hip] and what do you get?
A complete waste of your money, uneducated kids, and yes….sedition.
That word isn’t used nearly as often as it should anymore…because it just sounds so mean.
Too harsh? Too bad.
Because that’s what it is. I want a business professor teaching business ….period. If any of us adults were interested, even remotely, in his opinions as a worldwide political expert, then I guess we would have hired him in that position….but first he would actually have to be a worldwide political expert. And I would want to ask him a lot of questions . For instance….if you are so knowledgeable and such an expert why are you hiding in my country? Why don’t you go home and fix yours?
Oh, that’s right, you can’t…….they don’t really like college professors there do they?
And I would want him to be honest when teaching my kids. Indoctrinating is a much better word for what he is actually doing but that sounds so mean too doesn’t it?
Why doesn’t he regale them with the stories of what happens to college students in his country [you know…the one is such an expert on] that have opinions that differ from the government?
Why? Because that would be the truth and sometimes the truth is very scary and ugly indeed.
It also doesn’t fit into his agenda.
And last but not least…aren’t these the same liberals that are always complaining about jobs being outsourced? What? There weren’t any educated and qualified Americans to teach business when he was hired? And just what business exactly do they specialize in, in his native Iran?
Uh huh…it’s a thinker alright.
Isn’t the answer propaganda? And let’s not forget Lack-of-truth 101.
The religious studies professor then adds…..
“At HSU, students are required to take social science classes, he said. He said such education would make it clear that a military invasion such as that in Iraq could not, in and of itself, create democracy.”
So here we have the religious studies professor opining on military strategy and the business professor assuring us that Iran is really a swell place with no nukes.
Wow…I feel so much better already…………..
