Bleurgh. from TFMo!
I am sick. Not just in the head, that's well-established.
As an insomniac I tend to go for long periods of time without any significant amount of sleep (my record is 150 hours up, 10 hours asleep, total.)
As you can well imagine, this plays hell with all kinds of biological functions; chief amongst these is my immune system. My ability to fend off illnesses disappears faster than Obama's campaign promises (OOH! Topical humor! Even when I'm sick, I STILL GOT IT!)
So for fun, we throw in a little flu bug that's been going around. No, not H1N1, nor would that have mattered; the Swindle Flu is nothing more than a slightly more resistant strain of the same flu people usually get. The only thing remarkable about this is the timing. It's a little early. And as for the deaths, most of these happened in other countries. Curiously, most of these countries have some form of socialized, universal, single-payer, government-run health care. Hmm.
So I'm sick. No Sunday Funny today. I do have a Lil' Obama strip I had put in reserve, but it's even less funny than the usual ones, and I do have SOME standards.
Somewhere. I think. They may have fallen in the crack between my desk and the wall. I'll have to find a flashlight later.
So now I'm gonna go nestle in the loving embrace of Nyquil, watch a zombie movie, and hopefully spend the next 24 hours hallucinating my ass off.
