WAY Early Sunday Funnies from TFMo!

AGW001.jpg

Geez, where's the Pity Kitty when you need him?

Special thanks to Atlas Shrugs, Ace of Spades, The Other McCain, Pirate's Cove, Right Wing News, Michelle Malkin, and Der Speigel for unknowingly providing the backdrop for the strip.

Actually, double extra special thanks to William Teach; as it turns out, I used his article twice; once from the Cove and then from RWN. We must really like him or something. Or I should have worked on this AFTER I'd had coffee. Or both, I dunno.

And of course, thanks to Mad King Chuckie. None of these Baby Blogs would exist were it not for his monolithic stupidity, hypocrisy, and intellectual dishonesty.

Global Luke-Warming

This is just too damn funny for words.

Global warming appears to have stalled. Climatologists are puzzled as to why average global temperatures have stopped rising over the last 10 years. Some attribute the trend to a lack of sunspots, while others explain it through ocean currents.

At least the weather in Copenhagen is likely to be cooperating. The Danish Meteorological Institute predicts that temperatures in December, when the city will host the United Nations Climate Change Conference, will be one degree above the long-term average.
Otherwise, however, not much is happening with global warming at the moment. The Earth's average temperatures have stopped climbing since the beginning of the millennium, and it even looks as though global warming could come to a standstill this year.
Ironically, climate change appears to have stalled in the run-up to the upcoming world summit in the Danish capital, where thousands of politicians, bureaucrats, scientists, business leaders and environmental activists plan to negotiate a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Billions of euros are at stake in the negotiations.

The "inconvenient truth" is that AGW a scam. Richard Lindzen, the Alfred piece professor of planetary and atmospheric sciences at MIT, submitted a paper last month. For those who don't know, Lindzen is THE go-to guy, amongst the smartest people on the whole damn planet. After twenty years of gathering and meticulously analyzing the data, he's come to the conclusion that, scientifically speaking, AGW is horse crap. The esteemed Lord Monkton has this on the subject:

The amount of outgoing radiation escaping into space is supposed to reduce enormously as the temperature warms down here. That's the official theory because of all the greenhouse gases getting in the way. What is actually happening is that nearly all of it is getting out into space just as before. So the warming effect of CO2 over the whole of the next 100 years is going to be well below 2 Fahrenheit degrees, just negligible, it might even be 1 Fahrenheit degrees. And now that that is known by measurement, all of the UN's report on which this treaty is based are out of date, and the Supreme Court's own judgment in Massachusetts V. EPA where they said CO2 was a pollutant because it might cause warming are now also out of date. Because the facts have changed, and it's now been a measured result. There's no argument with it. Nobody's dared to argue with this paper.

Lord Monkton also had this to say a couple of weeks back on Glenn Beck. The fun begins at the one minute mark:

Lord Monkton went pretty fast there, so let me spell it out:

Monkton: Right, here is why there is no point, economically speaking, in doing anything to curb our carbon emissions, even if, as we now know in fact, the UN is wrong. But let's pretend it's right. Here's why nothing will work.

We burn...we burn thirty billion tons a year of CO2 worldwide. All right? Thirty billion tons a year. Now, that is the equivalent of two parts per million per year in the atmosphere. So that's fifteen million parts...fifteen million tons per part per million. All right? Are you with us so far?

Glenn: Not really, but I'll pretend, yes.

Monkton: Good, right, that's very simple; Thirty divided by two, fifteen billion, okay. With us so far. Now, the UN says we're going to increase the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere unless we do anything about it. By 468 parts per million in the next century. Four-six-eight PPMV. So that means if you multiply that by that (15 million PPM by 468 PPM) you get seven trillion tons we're going to emit of CO2 if we don't do any mitigation over next century. Seven trillion tons.

Okay. Now, they say that those seven trillion tons are going to cause seven Fahrenheit of warming in the next century. That's wrong, but that's what they say. That means that in order to forestall one Fahrenheit degree of warming, you have to forgo the emission of one trillion tons of CO2. Now, divide one trillion tons by the number of tons, the thirty billion tons per year that we started with that we're burning at the moment worldwide, and how many years is it going to take before we have saved one Fahrenheit degree?

(pointless chatter omitted, I ain't typing all that.)

It's thirty-three years for ONE Fahrenheit degree. Now, thirty-three years means NO automobiles anywhere on the planet. No electricity. No planes, no trains, no hospitals, no factories, no carbon emission at all, for thirty-three years just for ONE Fahrenheit degree.

That is why it is absolutely no point trying to mitigate carbon emissions, it makes not the slightest difference to the climate. End of lesson.

To rid ourselves of the 7 trillion tons estimated, we would have to live in caves for the next TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY-ONE YEARS. Does anyone see Al Gore giving up his mansion that burns twenty times more electricity in a month than the average home in a year to live in a cave for two hundred and thirty-one HOURS? Please. He won't even give up meat, even though his beloved IPCC has declared that meat causes 18% of the greenhouse gases that's "killing us" (as compared to all the vehicles on the planet, from mopeds to the Space Shuttle, which accounts for only 13%).

Cap and Trade, Copenhagen, Kyoto protocols, living green, buying an hybrid...NONE of these stupid things are going to do ANYTHING other than separate people from their money.

No country on the planet does more and spends more to protect the environment than the US. None. Not Japan, not Denmark, not England, not Canada, NOBODY. We're already doing MORE than our fair share, thank you very much. If this is such a dire situation, then the rest of the world needs to at least MATCH our efforts. Until then, they can all lick my carbon footprint.

Something To Hope For

My dear friend and collaborator Ghostie wrote to me recently, saying that she's starting to lose hope. She's not the only one; it's getting harder and harder to look forward to the future when so many things, like our current administration, seem bound and determined to throw us into a dystopic parody of our great country.

Cap and trade, HOPER health care, card check, Iran with nukes, our allies infuriated, our President making an abject fool of himself (and us) abroad, the UN's pitchfork-and-torches mob against Israel, the economy in the crapper, unemployment over 10% and rising, TARP, the various Scamulus bills, Commies in the Cabinet...

Okay, now, I'm starting to lose hope.

There are a lot of things to be worried about. But there are a lot of things that can certainly give us hope, even amongst the worrisome stuff.

Obama making an ass of himself abroad is certainly a concern, but from what I'm seeing, his actions are not reflecting so much on our nation. Our allies are hearing our criticism of our POSPOTUS, that we are, by approximately half the country, fed up with Obama's self-congratulatory self-adulation. Which is great, because it means that we stand a solid chance of repairing the damage he's done once we show him the door in 2012.

His attacks on Fox News is also a good thing; it's raised their ratings (which far surpassed all the other television "news" outlets prior to this stupidity) and it's shown, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that no one is allowed to disagree with His Highness. Think about that for a moment. Obama has effectively stated, by doing this, that as long as you agree with him, you are safe. Disagree with him, and you are an enemy. This is something the lefties should be gravely concerned about. Sure, they adore him and buy as many Obama Chia pets as they can afford...but what happens if he does something they DON'T like? Well, then they get Gibbs and Rahm and the other thugs calling them racists and what-all. They are finally starting to realize they have a tiger by the tail, especially the media. If Obama can try to blacklist one news organization, the only thing stopping him from doing the same to them is their obedience. And that obedience is costing them ratings and credibility.

Pelosi and the other liberal ilk in DC ramming through legislation without allowing anyone to read it is actually a good thing too. People from all walks of life and from all political preferences are getting rather fed up with this nonsense. The first sign of this was the concern that, after spending days shrieking that the first stimulus HAD to be passed NOW NOW NOW!, then Obama sitting on signing it for four whole days so he could have a weekend with the missus on the taxpayer's dime. Even the left-wing media was questioning this. And now we hear that the jobs "created or saved" was hugely inflated, and the money going to congressional districts that DON'T EXIST. I don't care if you are a rock-ribbed Reagan Conservative or a dyed-in-the-wool Communist, you can't read that and NOT think "corruption."

The whole AGW Cap and Trade thing, it's only getting better. Every time Gore and the rest of the doomsayers refuse to debate the AGW skeptics is a blow to their credibility. Every time Obama allows China to drill for oil off our shores or sends our tax dollars to another country to help them with their nuclear program while maintaining a moratorium on Americans drilling and expanding our nuclear program shows the hypocrisy rampant in this administration. Attempting to commit and force the US to pay for every molecule of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere while doing NOTHING to curb the much greater pollution of China and India further exposes this hypocrisy. Gore, Obama, and the rest of the AGW crowd are actually HELPING the skeptics by shredding their own credibility. Always a good thing.

The HOPER Health Care thing, even people on the left are questioning this. Imprisoning people for not buying health insurance? Using the Stupak Amendment to push the bill through the House, only to begin stripping it as soon as it hit Reid's desk? Voting through a bill that no one knows what's in it for sure? Not allowing anyone to read it, in this the "most transparent" House and Senate EVAR? Every time they pull a stunt like this, they lose more voters. And since HOPER care isn't going to go into effect until AFTER the 2012 election, we've got more than enough time to "abort" this bill once the Dems lose their majority in 2010.

Every day the economy looks horrible and unemployment continues to rise is another day filled with people coming to the conclusion that the current administration and leadership in our legislative branch either haven't got an effing clue, or they are PURPOSEFULLY screwing over the country. Neither bodes well for them keeping their jobs for much longer.

And the greatest hope of all is already coming to pass; more and more average Americans are getting off their butts and DOING something. Tea Parties, grassroots, the surge in new political blogs, so many of which lean distinctly to the right, people are sick of the BS in DC, sick of being insulted and ignored by the people they voted for. We're sick of being forced to pay for crappy service. If this was a restaurant, the government would be the snotty waiter who spits in our food, gets the order wrong, flirts with our wives, then not only expects us to pay for the "service", but we must also leave a large tip. More and more Americans are saying HELL NO. We're standing up, calling the manager over, and if nothing else, giving the snotty waiter a solid headbutt and kick to the 'nads.

We DO have many things to feel hope about, dear reader. But we can not sit idly by and expect these things to just happen. The gains we have made have been a result of people getting involved. The more people getting into the mix, the more effect we will have. Do SOMETHING, whether it's organizing a Tea Party, or writing articles like this, or just making some goofy little cartoons. The attempt is no guarantee of success, but doing nothing IS a guarantee of failure.

On Bowing And Bow Wows.....

My take on the whole Obama bowing to the Japanese head of state is this; our company has done a lot of business over the years... since 1978 to be exact... with the heads of major Japanese high tech companies. The up side, obviously, is good business and the often overlooked but still fascinating part of that are the gifts they give you....or should I say the gifts they give the company.
My favorite? A perfect replica of a Samurai warrior all in gold and silver [real] and brocades and with all the weapons displayed on the warrior the way they would have been worn. This was all in a very large glass and mahogany case.....not a small gift to say the least.
Now did the CEO of my company bow to the CEO of the Japanese company?
Yes....but, and this is the biggie....he only bowed a little and he never lowered his eyes. If he had we not only wouldn't have gotten that cool gift, but we wouldn't have gotten the contract as they don't give lucrative contracts to yutzes.
It's a simple thing they expect you to know and they certainly expect a head of state to know it too. You bow the way Obama did and I don't care what you say, they are snickering behind your back in five seconds and figuring out how to use that "kick me" sign you placed on your own ass to their advantage. You don't do good business of any kind, government or private, with a fool.
It's all about 'face'.
Now, do we have to worry about the Japanese nuking us figuratively or otherwise...no, we don't. What we do have to worry about is the fact that we have a certified idiot in the White House.
And the Iranians and Russians were watching you know......and those guys we do have to worry about.
There has been a lot of talk lately about chairman zero's chances at getting reelected. I'll go out on a limb here and state that I don't think he has any intention of running in 2012. Why would he? He's a lazy guy,and I mean a really lazy guy, and he already has that billion from Soros. Oh, get real, you know he does. And has Soros ever bought a country for so little?
A billion is nothing to George "the recession has been very good for me" Soros.....and chairman zero couldn't make that much if he gave a speech every day for the rest of his life. Plus there is that whole 'pension for life' thing we give our presidents.
Now for much more interesting things than the sellout traitor in the white house...
In case you didn't notice there have been some additions to the sidebar, not the least of which is a link to the great TFMo's site JBYP. So go and check it out, and comment.
Thanks to TFMo I have been able to accomplish a million things I needed to do and you, dear readers, still had interesting and thought provoking commentary and cartoons to enjoy....in fact I don't know what I ever did without him here.
One of the "million things", besides the house, that happened was an adoption.
Yes, typical white dog ,who lost her companion a few months ago and has been eating herself to death in her grief ever since...and now weighs about 15 pounds more than she should, has a new friend.
It's not like TWD is normally sveldt, but it had become ridiculous....you can set a tea tray on her back now, she is that wide.
So I began to look for a suitable companion for her...not that easy a task as we are, after all, talking about a bull terrier here. Granted she is the sweetest dog on earth, especially for a bull terrier, but she is still weird. That's kinda what you get with a bully...they specialize in weird.
For instance, you don't say "no! cut that out" to a her and expect to get anywhere. Noooo, what you have say if you want to get your point across is "That'll do Pig".
Pig became her nickname thanks to middle son who carries her around...he's quite strong...and since she adores him she hangs on his every word.
The rest of us mere mortals are just her valets and doormen.
Seriously.
So we found a rescue dog...an abuse and neglect case....and drove 8 hours round trip to pick her up.She is half Irish Wolfhound and half black Lab......actually she is merely wearing a "lab hat" as the only part of her that appears to be Lab is the top of her head and her ears...the rest is pure Irish Wolfhound.
In other words she looks like a big black hairy spider that someone washed and dried on the wrong settings.... she definitely needs some weight on her.
And she is shy shy shy...afraid of everything.
And that's what makes her and Pig a perfect fit.....because the Pig is not afraid of anything.
So we have the short fat waddling white bull terrier and the tall slim elegant black Irish Wolfhound.......in other words if they were people....with no morals.....they would be Hillary and Barry.
And Fiona can fly...when she runs she is like a race horse so Pig's diet plan has already begun. And in return Fiona ,instead of "guts in a bottle", gets her guts in a Pig; when Pig is around Fiona isn't afraid of anything...put Pig in her crate and Fiona turns back into Princess Shaking Leaf.
So I guess in the end they are more like Hillary and Barry after all aren't they?
Now please excuse me while I go and poke out my mind's eye.......

Bow-Mau (UPDATED)

I actually managed to get a little sleep last night and wake up before noon; a rarity for me, as I suffer from insomnia and I'm just getting over a flu-like whatever-it-was that made my throat swell shut yesterday. So I get up in a relatively good mood, have a coffee and a smoke, jump on the web and read my preferred web-comics. One of my favorites managed to update for the first time in three months, so bonus. Then I click Open All in my Politics Favorites. The usual on Fox News, then I click on the tab for Drudge.

Big picture of Obama bowing to the Japanese Emperor, with the appropriate caption, "Obama Bows To Japanese Emperor."

Thus endeth the good start of my day, because now I have to come to Obama's defense.

In case you're just now reading my stuff for the first time, allow me to clarify; I don't like Obama. I think he's either wholly corrupt or a complete idiot. Neither bodes well for our country and neither gives any confidence in his worthiness for our highest office. But it would be intellectually dishonest NOT to praise him for doing something right, or to come to his defense when deserved.

First off, let's discuss appropriate behaviors in foreign countries. And just to throw you libs a bone, we'll start with a little Bush-bashing. Accepting a gift is one thing; when the Saudi king presented Bush with a big gaudy necklace, it was kind of a gray area. In the Middle East, guys don't typically give jewelry to other guys. I think it's the whole "Behead the homosexuals for the Glory of Allah" thing. But leaders of nations can fudge a bit on the rules. However, the Saudi king actually PUT the necklace around Bush's neck. That's a whole 'nother thing. That act said "I am putting this necklace on you as I would a woman. Thus you are not only a woman, you are MY woman." Basically, he made Bush his Bitch. To which Bush stupidly responded with a smile and a slight bow, effectively saying "Yup! I'm your Bitch!" Had the king done this to anyone in his own culture, someone would be leaving the room sans a few body parts. Raping a guy's wife right in front of him would be deemed less of an insult than this. (and what does that say about this culture, eh?)

Crossposted at JBYP
By the by, the Saudi King did the same thing to Obama.

Also in the Middle East, as it is in most parts of the word, bowing is a sign of subservience. You bow to those you deem better than you. Given that the Saudi King has shown the US great disdain and is hardly an ally, Obama's bow this past year was wildly inappropriate and certainly deserving of criticism. His lame excuse, easily disproved in the photos, only made it worse.

Which brings us to Obama's bow to the Japanese Emperor. Bowing in Japan takes on an entirely different meaning; it's a HANDSHAKE. A husband can bow to his wife, a kid can bow to anther kid, martial artists bow to the tatami mat before they step on it.

The sight gag of two people performing Japanese bows to each other is actually based in a realistic situation; when you bow in Japan, you are saying "I respect you." The other guy bows, saying "No, I respect you." Rinse, lather, repeat, hilarity ensues. It's a one-up-manship of politeness. Whoever stops bowing first shows disrespect, thus shaming himself. Typically, to avoid lower back injury, it's an unwritten rule that you stop after two or three times.

Now, there are nuances (anyone else sick of that word?) in a bow; the deeper the bow, the greater respect you are showing. Obama is bent almost 90 degrees; that's about as low as you can go without yoga training. By Japanese standards, Obama's overdoing it. This is the depth one goes to when apologizing for accidentally eating the recipient's child.

Also, the eye direction is meaningful. Lowering your eyes a bit is acceptable; looking straight at the ground is a very subservient sign; you are not worthy to look up the person to whom you are bowing. This is not something our President should be doing. He is meeting with an EQUAL, not a superior.

Then there is the handshake-with-bow. As my lovely wife pointed out to me (she's WAY more knowledgeable about such things) you either bow OR shake hands. Never both. It shows that you are trying to impose your own customs onto the recipient, which is crass at best. True, many Japanese do both...when they come here. This is to accommodate our ignorance of their culture, which is only polite; you don't piss on someone's customs in their own home, nor do you correct them there.

Obama's bow could be verbally translated as thus: "(bow initiated) I respect you. (bow at 45 degrees) Oh GOD how I respect you. I am not worthy. (bow at 90 degrees) I debase myself before you. (eyes to the floor) I am so very sorry for simply existing in your august presence. Please take pity on me. (handshake) I'm an ignorant hick. Do you think you can introduce me to Sailor Moon?"

Conversely, Clinton's head-bob in previous years would be considered very disrespectful. This is like sticking your hand out to be shaken, then refusing to clasp, then demanding a moist towelette from the person you just shook hands with. However, this took place on American soil; different customs. What SHOULD have happened, was the Emperor gives a little head bow and/or handshake to the President, then the President responds in kind. I'm not having any success in finding out who bowed first. If the Emperor bowed first, then Clinton gave a head-bob, that's perfectly acceptable etiquette. If Clinton bobbed first, then he insulted our country by showing subservience to a foreign ruler on our own turf.

Good lord, now I'm defending Clinton. My day just keeps getting better and better.

What I would be more interested in is what was the Emperor's response? It's custom to return the bow you've received, and from what I have seen, the Emperor seems like a decent, respectful guy. But considering how Obama has treated our allies since coming to power? There are three ways the Emp could have responded: He returned the bow, trying to help Obama save face for his multiple social gaffes; he made a partial bow, showing SOME respect, but is obviously displeased; or he did not bow, showing that he is absolutely furious with Obama, to the point that he's willing to accept a degree of shame to show Obama just how pissed he is. Chances are, he opted for the second choice.

So for my Conservative brethren, please, calm down. Obama went to Japan and followed a Japanese custom, which is fully expected of a President, and respectful to a host that has been a friend and ally to our country for decades. The only problem I have with it is he took it too far and wound up looking like the typical American dipstick who couldn't be bothered to learn the house rules of his host. Which is expected of a narcissist like Obama.

I'm not an expert on Japanese culture. I had planned on taking a trip there once, so I studied up a bit on the society and even learned a smattering of the language. That's as far as I got. If I've gotten this wrong, then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE correct me. Having to defend that jackass fills me with the urgent need to scrub my hands with steel wool and rinse my eyes with bleach.

UPDATE I have now seen footage, from a Japanese station. Obama's bow was NOT reciprocated. Even the Emperor's wife barely nodded her head at him. Looks like we've lost yet another ally.

WAKE UP AMERICA...The Enemy Is In Our Midst.

From Moonbattery...and I cannot even begin to tell you how much this pisses me off.
As the "queen of maxxximum outrage" [thanks ace] I can tell you that he wouldn't have been talking for long all by his lonesome if I had been walking by.
At the very least someone should have slapped him in his big mouth with BACON......
The only thing more appalling are the "Americans" that just walk by without even saying anything....or worse yet, actually take "literature" from this scumbag.
WTF?

Found at last....the moderate Muslim!

And then there is this complete load of crap from Yahoo [who else, really?]

Muslims across the country were shocked, angry and afraid that the attack would erode efforts to erase anti-Islamic stereotypes.

Many Islamic leaders said the Fort Hood tragedy that left 13 dead and 30 wounded including the alleged gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, could likely pose the sternest test for U.S. Muslims since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

"A lot of us work very hard for this country, to make America a better place," said Muqtedar Khan, a progressive Muslim scholar who has just given Congressional testimony on U.S. foreign policy in Afghanistan before Thursday's attack.

Highlights mine, low lights theirs.
Make America a better place? Really? Funny, I haven't noticed any of that.....and notice that it's all about them. They *might* be victimized. Someone *might* say something to them. Oh noes!
Well, guess what crazy ass Muslims...... real Americans are actually dead thanks to people like the guy in this video...and all his peeps.

Terrorist By Default

Almost immediately upon the reports, the left-wing media and various "knowledgeable" folk offered every excuse under the sun for Major Malik's murderous rampage at Fort Hood this past Thursday...except the most obvious and logical reason: he's a terrorist.

Oprah's lap dog strikes again with his know it all bullshit.
So here's an old Jihadi proverb for him:

"May a thousand blow flies infest your carcass after a Jihadi beheads you.....and may passersby piss on your grave".

Yeah , Phil "I boinked a patient and got in trouble for it" Mcgraw I'm pretty sure that's how the saying goes, you know those wacky-fun Muslims...always kidding around, just before they aren't.

And Shoshanna? Get an effing job you parasite; if a tool like John McCain can get it together after doing years in a POW camp I'm pretty sure a big girl like you can too.
PTSD.....my ass. More like a bad case of African American entitlement syndrome.....a sad and serious disease affecting millions....of taxpayers.

Appalling Display By Obama...Priorities Anyone?

UPDATE from a commenter at This Ain't Hell comes this bit of info. Too bad the "people" at FOX are too busy trying to pretend that he's a white supremacist or at the very least just a recent convert to the religion of pieces.
http://www.vitals.com/doctor/profile/1811199052
Read it and weep...truly, what is happening to our country when we allow in every Muslim idiot on the planet and then are shocked, shocked I tell you, when they act like animals Muslims?
I'm sorry...was there a doctor shortage so great that we had to let in an idiot from Damascus U?

We had a horrific series of shootings today at Fort Hood....and the media , even FOX, yes FOX wants you to play name that religion.
But just in case that wasn't bad enough....here we have the Poser in Chief giving "shout outs" to people in his audience as he prepares to speak about the horrible crime. I'm frankly just surprised that the idiot didn't blame the dead, ..... after all the shooter is a MUSLIM.....so he's like an effing saint or something you know...
Btw Fox...we are all going to remember this: Via Ace Of Spades HQ

"Hutchison and Shep won't talk about the name because they don't want to insult anyone. Unbelievable. They say Major Malik Nadal Hasan was upset about having to deploy.

Fox will not use the name of Major Malik Nadal Hasan but a local radio reporter just broke Fox's embargo that he is a MUSLIM convert. "

Tell me why, again, do we have Muslims in this country when they obviously can't play well with others?

HOPER Care

Our buddy Bill Teach at Pirate's Cove has an excellent article regarding the new health care plan proposed by the GOP, putting it on the list of Things You Are Better Off Reading Than My Goofy Cartoons.

As you have hopefully read by now, Pelosi's plan, at nearly two thousand pages, will wind up costing nearly two trillion dollars, will help fund abortion, will put private insurance out of business, will uphold ridiculously high pay-offs for lawsuits, which keeps the cost of medicine obscenely high to offset the cost of malpractice insurance, will cost Medicare billions in cuts, will result in rationing and thereby result in death panels, will cover illegals (at least until they're all granted amnesty) and will most certainly destroy our nation's economy while giving the government carte blanche control over most aspects of society. An anonymous source from the CBO is quoted: Holy crap!

Meanwhile, the GOP plan just got back from the CBO. It was a quick 219 page read. It does not grant greater power to the government. It does not expand government. Not only does it actually do what it's supposed to, which is help fix the health care problem, but it does so at a fraction of the bills proposed by the Dems. It costs a mere $61 billion over ten years and will actually CUT THE DEFICIT by $68 billion over the same period. No death panels. No tax-funded abortions. No illegals. No six-month waiting lists. No raping of our senior citizens. No fines for refusing to get insurance. No bankrupting small businesses. It makes health care more affordable, so those who have fallen in the cracks can climb back out.

The Dems should be jumping for joy over this. Aren't they the party of the little guy? Obama/Pelosi/Reid Care will strangle the little guy while only actually helping perhaps 3% of the population, at the expense of the other 97%, while the GOP bill helps more people at LESS cost to the rest of us.

Which is why it will never see the light of day.

This isn't about us. It's about the government grabbing more power and taking more money and freedom from those of us who are actually contributing to the economy. This is Cloward-Piven on PCP; flood the system, force its collapse, and begin the conquest. The Democrat's various proposals do absolutely nothing to improve the situation, but makes a hell of a lot of problems even worse.

I propose a new name for this travesty: HOPERcare. That's Harry Obama Pelosi Economically Retarded health care. Be sure to ping me if you use it!

NY 23: What Have We Learned, Class?

What could have been a real wake-up call for the GOP was instead turned into a sterling example of the corruption in the Republican Party.

The fun begins with a liberal, pro-abortion, pro-card check, pro-tax hike, pro-ObamaCare, with strong ties to both ACORN and the Unions. That's the REPUBLICAN candidate, Dede Scozzafava. This woman makes Olympia Snow and John McCain look like rock-ribbed Conservatives. Try as I might, I can't find any greater difference between Scozzafava and the Dem nominee, Bill Owens, other than the letter behind the name.

So Dede "suspended" her campaign. Cute. It made sure her name was on the ballot as a spoiler. As I write this, the count stands at Hoffman-54,538, Owens-57,050, and Scozzafava's outright theft of 6,982 votes which could have reversed the count and given the House a Representative that would be far more likely to vote alongside the GOP than the Dems. This was nothing short of a vindictive sabotage of an election, handing a victory to the Democrats for the sake of yet another RINO.

Frankly, I'm not that big a fan of the Big Tent anymore. We go on and on about Obama's lack of vetting his cabinet and czars, but who is vetting for the Republican Party? Mr. Magoo? If a person is voting less than 50% of the time with the party, then why the hell are they in this party? The only logical conclusion I can find is that they are shills; liberals placed strategically within the party to bring about its downfall.

Dede's shenanigans, along with her endorsement of the Democrat candidate, paints a crystal clear picture of why so many of us are furious with the GOP. THIS is the result of letting "Moderates" run the party; a filibuster-proof Dem majority in the Senate, a staggering Dem majority in the House, and a Socialist in the Oval Office, plus the stigma of eight years of out-of-control spending and piss-all to show for it.

How about that, Newt? Still feelin' good about that endorsement? Was she worth losing that last tiny shred of credibility? How's that run in 2012 looking now?

And please, do not think for a SECOND that We The People don't realize what's happened here. Once again, you spat on the people you desperately need. You tried it in 2008 by shoving John McCain in our faces while elbowing more Conservative candidates like Fred Thompson in the groin. How'd that work out? McCain ended up looking like a fool, and the one bright star of that whole debacle, Sarah Palin, continues to rise. Why? Because CONSERVATIVES LIKE HER. So what do you do? You trash her! Brilliant strategy there, Napoleon. Attacking Palin while endorsing Scozzafava is like letting the dog crap all over the thousand dollar Persian rug so he doesn't stain the five dollar linoleum tile.

This was a wake-up call for the GOP, but they let Dede hit the snooze button yet again. But no matter how many times you roll over and snuggle down in your blankets, you still have to be at work on time. You've shown up late too often, ignoring the demands of your bosses, the voters. Come 2010, your asses are going to be fired.

The Real Face Of Obama's Policies.....

This is someone's baby.....someone's child.
This is what this recession looks like, the recession that Obama and his cronies orchestrated. Remember this kid's face the next time you hear George Soros say " The recession has been very good for me...."
This poor kid was sleeping on an abandoned couch along side a slough....as you can see by his feet he had been barefoot a long time. I had to look twice to make sure he was breathing as even our big diesel truck didn't wake him up. He had a little pack of his few belongings next to him on the ground.
It broke my heart to see him.
While Obama throws party after party to amuse himself, while our soldiers go without the help they need, while kids like this fall through the cracks....and lose their way.
This is what Soros' puppet Obama has done...and this is all. Nothing good, nothing for anyone but himself and his handlers.
